POLICE are trying to trace a missing woman who was last sighted in Keighley after leaving Airedale hospital.

Linda Scaife, 54, (pictured) was last seen at 10am yesterday. She had left the hospital around an hour before that.

She was expected to return to her home in Skipton later that day, but never arrived.

Officers are appealing to the public to keep an eye out for Linda and report any sightings of her as soon as possible.

Linda is described as white, about 5ft 2ins tall, with a medium build, blue eyes, a rosy complexion, and shoulder-length blonde hair, which she usually combs back on top and holds in place with a butterfly clip.

When she was last seen, Linda was wearing black trousers, a black coat and black boots and was carrying a black and cream handbag.

Sergeant Trevor Burton, of Skipton police, said: "Linda's family are understandably anxious about her and I am urging anyone who has seen her or knows where she is to get in touch with the police.

"At the moment, we don't know what her intentions are or where she has headed."

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 - select option 1 - and pass information to the Force Control Room.
