Families have been invited to take part in a cycle ride between two of the district's top attractions.

Volunteers from cycling charity Sustrans will be leading a ride between Saltaire and Cliffe Castle museum and park in Keighley and back.

The ride is around 15 miles along Route 696 of Sustrans’ National Cycle Network. It will start from the car park at Hirst Mill Crescent at 10am on Saturday.

The ride will head towards Keighley and will give riders a chance to sample the Aire Valley's scenery and Industrial Heritage, with time for a picnic in the grounds of Cliffe Castle.

Sustrans volunteer, Paul Merrett, said, "We’ve planned a ride, suitable for all ages and abilities that will give people a chance fall in love with their bike all over again – as well as having a chance to see more of their local area.”

The ride is a collaboration with Cliffe Castle Park Conservation Group.
