A BRADFORD man has appeared in court in handcuffs accused of murdering a 42-year-old woman in Widnes.

David John Hoyle, 38, of Idle Road, appeared at Chester Crown Court yesterday following an investigation by Cheshire Police into the death.

He was initially arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Rebecca Bamber was found early on Sunday morning with serious injuries.

She was taken to Whiston hospital where she later died. Hoyle was then charged with her murder.
