A physiotherapist who used to work in Bradford has had a book published on a pioneering approach to chronic pain.
Georgie Oldfield, who worked for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for 17 years, will unveil Chronic Pain: Your Key To Recovery at the Back Pain Show at London’s Olympia in July.
That will be followed by a question-and-answer and signing session at the Waterfront Lodge hotel in Brighouse on Thursday, July 10, between 5pm and 7pm.
Her treatment approach for chronic pain is based on 40 years of pioneering work by Professor John E Sarno, of New York.
In the book, Georgie explains how the body has an innate ability to heal itself and that persistent pain is in fact part of a learned response via the brain and nervous system.
