A man who had more than 60 skunk cannabis plants, with a street value of nearly £14,000, in his home has been given a community order.
Married father-of-three Brian Hughes, 31, of Lister Avenue, East Bowling, Bradford, pleaded guilty to producing cannabis.
Prosecutor Duncan Ritchie told Bradford Crown Court yesterday that police found a cannabis production operation with fairly sophisticated growing equipment.
Hughes admitted growing the cannabis but insisted it was for his personal use.
Judge Peter Benson said he could not be satisfied to a criminal standard that Hughes was growing for commercial reasons.
He ordered the defendant be supervised by probation for 12 months, with a six-month Drug Rehabilitation Requirement and 150 hours unpaid community work.
