An elderly woman was taken to hospital this morning following a road accident in Keighley.
The woman was in collision with a car in busy Cavendish Street at around 11am.
Staff from nearby shops, including hair salon Hairavanti, rushed to give first aid to the injured woman.
Bystanders flagged down a passing police car as paramedics raced to the scene.
Police officers cordoned off Cavendish Street on both sides of the car, a white Mitsubishi Lancer, as paramedics treated the woman.
A police car escorted the ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary.
