Eastburn Junior & Infant School pupils hit all right notes at concert

First published in News

Youngsters at Eastburn Junior & Infant School have hit a high note.

An annual musical evening was staged, featuring the school’s choir and samba band and individuals and groups playing recorder, guitar, keyboard and accordion.

“We are proud of the rich musical tradition of our school and enjoy this yearly celebration in which around 50 children take part,” said headteacher Mrs Jan Elliott.

“It is a celebration of the music lessons that the pupils undertake in school through the year.”

The choir is led by Mrs Elliott with Mrs Honor Tierney, who is also a peripatetic recorder and flute teacher.

Harry Hinchcliffe teaches guitar, keyboard and accordion. The samba band is taught by Bradford music services and was led at the concert by teaching assistant, Mrs Angela Richmond.
