Golfers putt on the style for pilgrims
A group set up to help take pilgrims from the Keighley area to Lourdes has received more than £5,000 thanks to a charity golf tournament. The cash has gone to the Massabielle group, which was formed four years ago.
The tournament was staged at Branshaw Golf Club earlier this month. Massabielle spokesman Sean Gilligan said: “There were more than 30 teams of four involved in the competition in a highly successful day.
“We were particularly grateful for the very generous support for this event from the management and members of Branshaw Golf Club.
