The boss of missing Bradford woman Anita Racz has joined the appeal to find her and reunite her with family.

Ravinder Singh of Windsor Wholesale in City Road, who had only just taken Miss Racz on to work in his admin office, said her sudden disappearance has left colleagues mystified.

“We were only just getting to know her, but we are still concerned about what’s happened. She’d only been with us for a week on trial, but seemed happy enough,” he said.

Mr Singh said police interviewed her workmates on Thursday, but there had been no news since.

“No-one was particularly worried when she did not turn up for work that day because we have a 14-day cooling off period for people to decide if they want to stay with us or not.

“It was only when her family contacted us that we realised there was something wrong,” he said.

Miss Racz had been due to sign a contract for the job the day she failed to turn up for work and was also due to collect £300 in wages.

A police search of her home, not far from Forster Square Railway Station, found her mobile telephone had been switched to silent and put in a box under her bed along with her medication for depression, the landline plug has also been pulled out of the wall.

West Yorkshire Police have appealed for anyone with information to call 101.
