YOUNG riders from Grovely Riding School in Wilton have competed in the British Horse Society National Riding School Championships, achieving fantastic results.

Six riders travelled to Warwickshire College along with five of Grovely’s riding school horses and ponies to compete in show jumping, dressage and stable management tests.

Molly Parsons came first in the 12 and under category on Sooty, as well as Solenn Davis achieving a medal for best effort.

In the 13 to 17 years category Mirabel Green came second on Brodie, and Lilly King eighth on Marco. In the over 18s category, Lauren Safe achieved seventh place on Brodie.

As well as all the riders taking away prizes, their instructor Sam Stockley was the winning instructor in the 12 and under category and the whole team took away third prize in the team event.

The British Horse Society Riding School Championships is a national competition held annually at Warwickshire College.
