A 36-year-old man remains in hospital after a collision with a car in Bradford, with police suggesting the incident may have been deliberate.

The man is currently in a stable condition at Leeds General Infirmary following the incident, which happened in the city centre at 2.13pm yesterday afternoon.

The pedestrian was hit by a dark coloured Corsa and suffered “serious injuries.”

Police were called to Bolton Road in the city centre just after 2.15pm, and cordoned off the road between its junctions with Balme Street and Church Bank.

A scientific support vehicle was in attendance at the scene, with officers seen taking pictures of sections of the road opposite the old Ring O’Bells pub.

A police spokesman said: “It appears the victim may have been run over, possibly deliberately. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.”
