Bradford Cathedral will host its latest silent film night on Friday.

The series is drawing an ever-increasing audience and at the next event, assistant director of music Jonathan Eyre will provide organ improvisation for the 1931 romantic comedy City Lights, with Charlie Chaplin.

Although sound films were on the rise when Chaplin started developing the script in 1928 he continued with organ music and critics consider it not only one of the best films ever made.

Tickets for the 7pm performance are £8 including wine and nibbles, with proceeds going to the Organ Restoration Appeal.
