Haworth’s Three Graces Lodge of Freemasons is looking to provide a grandstand stay for some of the many visitors expected for the arrival of the Tour de France on the weekend of July 5 and 6.
The Lodge’s headquarters is in a prime position on Mill Hey and the event will go straight past its door.
And the Lodge is offering its car park as a temporary motorhome base for up to eight vehicles for Tour fans who will be following the race round Yorkshire.
John Sharman, secretary to the lodge, said: “It’s a win-win situation for everybody. The motorhome owners will have access to a parking spot close to the Tour de France’s course and they will have a grand view of the riders coming down from Cross Roads. And, at same time, the Lodge will be able to give its funds a much-needed boost.”
