May Day marks the opening of a new-look post office opening in a Saltaire off-licence – a short distance from the old premises in Bingley Road The new Post Office Local will open in Saltaire Wines tomorrow at 1pm and offers significantly longer opening hours for customers.
It will be open 87 hours a week from 8am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm to 9pm on Sunday.
The move is part of major modernisation programme across the Post Office network designed to make it easier for customers to do business, through longer opening hours and modern open plan environments.
Post Office Regional Network Manager for Central England Adrian Wales said: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to Shipley and we are confident that this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.”
