A mother-of-three, who waved a knife threateningly during a street row, was given a 12-month community order.
Shelley Green, 28, of Vivian Place, Great Horton, Bradford, pleaded guilty to affray and possessing a bladed article in a public place.
Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday that Green was at home when there was a dispute outside between two teenage boys and someone else over a game of table tennis.
She took exception to loud swearing and pointed out to the young people that she had children in the house.
Other people became involved and she was struck by something that was thrown. Someone fetched a knife from her property and she waved it around in a threatening way.
Judge John Potter said she had led a blameless life and had thrown away her good character. He ordered her to do 120 hours’ unpaid work, and a 30-day medium level activity.
