Yorkshire-based charity Heart Research UK is calling for more local “champions” throughout the county to help support its work in the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease.
The charity, which funds over £1m a year on research into heart disease, and over £100,000 on community heart-healthy projects, is having its biggest volunteer recruitment drive in Yorkshire.
