Runners are celebrating after the weekend’s 60th Three Peaks Race in the Yorkshire Dales.

The race was won by Ricky Lightfoot (pictured) from Cumbria with a time of two hours, 53 minutes and 16 seconds, but there was third place glory for former winner Rob Jebb, 39, of Bingley Harriers. He finished in two hours, 59 minutes and 57 seconds.

Winner of the ladies’ trophy was Victoria Wilkinson (also pictured), whose 17th place overall made her the second highest placed female runner since the race was opened to ladies in 1979. The 35-year-old, also from Bingley Harriers, finished in three hours, 21 minutes and 32 seconds. She said: “I was pleased. I was aiming for a sub-three hours, 30 minutes so to get three hours 21 minutes, I was quite happy.”

Ilkley Harriers took first place for the women’s team efforts, with Bingley Harriers third.

In the men’s teams, Dark Peak Fell Runners Club was first, Calder Valley Fell Runners, second and Wharfedale Harriers, third.
