Finance worker Chris Wilson ensured romance stayed on track – by proposing aboard a steam train.
He popped the question to girlfriend Ola Kowalczyk while travelling on the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. And the ‘steamy affair’ ended happily when Poland-born Ola said yes. “I wanted to do something a bit different to propose and I thought why not on the railway?” said Chris, 29. “We’d been to Haworth before and it was beautiful and romantic – in fact one of our first dates was to travel there on a steam train, and we then walked up onto the moors. It was gorgeous.”
Chris said that he and Ola, 28, who began dating just over a year ago, had already agreed to get engaged and chosen her ring together. But she had no idea when and where he would pop the question.
