Manorlands-based Sue Ryder fundraiser Andrew Wood met the Prime Minister at a reception in 10 Downing Street.
Mr Wood was among people from across the country invited to the St George’s Day gathering, in recognition of their community work.
He was asked to attend by Keighley MP Kris Hopkins, who gave him a whistle-stop tour of parliament before they headed to Downing Street. The invitation was in tribute to his work with Manorlands, successful events such as the Keighley BigK 10K, the Worth Valley Young Farmers and projects including Fields of Vision. “I was honoured and proud to be invited – it was a wonderful experience,” said Mr Wood. “But you can only do the things I do if you are part of a good team and I felt I was there representing everybody.”
