The search is still on for Bradford’s most photogenic faces.

If you have what it takes to strut your stuff then the good news is there is still time to enter this year’s ModelSearch.

Now in its 13th year, the contest is run in conjunction with the Telegraph & Argus, the Kirkgate Centre and DK Model Agency.

Model scout Amanda Dabrowski said: “So far we have received over 250 entries, but there is still time to enter. The next stage of the event is the ‘heats’ and this is a fully staged catwalk event offering all potential models the chance to walk down the runway in front of their family and friends, great experience for all those considering a future in modelling.”

The competition is open to anyone over the age of four with no upper age or size limit. One male and one female will win a years modelling contract with Sheffield-based DK Models - the agency’s clients include Asda, Halfords, Argos and Sports Direct.

There is also a whopping £500 prize fund that will be split between the eight overall winners, a male and female in each of the four age categories.

“We are always keen to be involved and see the potential new faces from the Modelsearch at the Kirkgate Centre”, says Caroline Godber from DK Model Agency.

And she added: “This model runway competition gives all male and female competitors a very realistic opportunity to be seen and for all the entrants to experience a real catwalk, gain confidence and meet new friends. All compeitiors should come with the right mindset, the right attitude and be realistic about their potential as some people will be more successful than others”.

If you miss the chance, you can still nominate yourself by submitting a photograph and entry form before the closing date of Monday, April 28.

Forms are available from the Kirkgate Centre or the Telegraph & Argus office on Hall Ings.

Successful contestants will be invited onto the catwalk for heats in the Kirkgate Centre on Sunday, May 4, with the most promising going through to the finals on Sunday, May 18.

The expert panel of judges, who will choose eight winners overall, will feature representatives from DK Model Agency,Modelsearch, previous win-ners, and retailers from the Kirkgate Centre.

The finalists will also be put to the public vote in the T&A Readers’ Choice category, with photographs published in a supplement on Friday, May 9.

The free competition is divided into four age categories: four to six, seven to 10, 11 to 15 and 16-plus.
