Police have named a man who died after a car crash above Bingley yesterday as Christopher Crowther, of Moor Close Lane, Queensbury.

The 33-year-old died after his blue MG ZR car was in collision with a white VW Crafter van on Otley Road, High Eldwick, at about 3.55pm.

The Major Collision Enquiry Team would like to speak to anyone who has information about the crash which took place beside Graincliffe Reservoir.

The MG had been travelling west towards East Morton and the VW had been travelling east, and initial enquiries suggest the MG had crossed into the opposite lane just prior to the collision.

Mr Crowther died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the incident.

PC Andy Oversby of the Major Collision Enquiry Team, said: "We are conducting enquiries into this incident and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.

"Anyone who has assist should contact myself at the Major Collision Enquiry Team on 101."
