Group calls for help with Africa work
8:00am Wednesday 23rd April 2014 in News
The Mpika relief charity is asking people to join its annual sponsored walk in the Denholme area.
The walk, which will cover nearly nine miles, will set off from the Mpika charity shop in the village at 10am on May 17.
Proceeds will pay for a container of goods to support the Mpika Village of Hope children’s home and orphanage in Zambia in Africa.
The Mpika Relief Fund was set up by June Martin, of Denholme, to help a village hit by drought, and went on to develop the Village of Hope.
She said the charity was seeking both walkers and sponsors, who should contact her at email@example.com.
Visit mpika.org for information about the charity’s work.
