Members of the Friends of Keighley (Redcar) Tarn are planning their first open day at the popular beauty spot.
The May 30 event will feature several information stalls showcasing the Friends’ many ideas to improve the tarn.
Friends’ members will lead guided walks informing people about the wildfowl that use the hilltop lake.
All people are welcome to go along on May 30, between 2pm and 8pm.
The group has also announced another public meeting where people can put forward their ideas about improving the tarn.
The meeting will be on May 19 at 7.30pm in Keighley Civic Central on North Street.
Bradford Councillor Jan Smithies (Lab, Keighley West), who is supporting the Friends, said the group would welcome anyone who is interested in Keighley Tarn.
She said: “They can simply be members of the Friends, they don’t have to come to committee meetings.
Coun Smithies said Friends were now ready to officially launch sub-groups working on separate issues.
One group is exploring road safety and a potential new pavement on Black Hill Lane, and the other is looking at wildlife and environmental issues.
