Two men and a woman arrested on suspicion of murder were due to be questioned by detectives today.

The two men were arrested yesterday after police mounted a manhunt following a man’s death from stab wounds at a house in Washington Street, Girlington, Bradford.

One suspect, aged 30, was detained by officers in Manningham in the early hours of yesterday.

Later in the morning the second suspect, aged 29, was also arrested in Manningham. The woman, 58, who was arrested at the house in Washington Street, has been in police custody since Sunday lunchtime.

Detectives were today expecting to release the identity of the dead man who is believed to be 59.

All those involved are believed to be Slovakian.

Police and paramedics were called to the terraced house shortly before 12.30pm on Sunday where they found the badly injured man.

Despite attempts to save him he died at the scene.

The house remained cordoned off yesterday with police guarding the scene.

A white forensic tent was put up in the front garden as officers carried out a detailed search of the property and recorded photographic evidence.

Detective Superintendent Mark Ridley, who is leading the investigation, yesterday continue to appeal for witnesses or anyone else with information about what happened to come forward.

He said: “A 58-year-old woman arrested yesterday remains in custody for questioning and two men aged 29 and 30 have now been arrested from the Bradford area in connection with the incident.

“We are still investigating the precise circumstances of what took place but are treating this as a domestic-related crime.

“A post-mortem will be conducted to confirm the cause of death of the victim and I would continue to appeal for witnesses.

“Anyone who has information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
