A ‘lovely jubbly’ second-hand van, guaranteed to raise a smile and attract the ladies is on sale in Bradford – but timewasters and ‘plonkers’ need not apply.

A Telegraph & Argus photographer spotted this copy of Del Boy’s iconic three-wheeled Reliant Regal – which is being sold by Geoff Bostock, on Hawthorne Avenue, Thornbury.

Mr Bostock has had two offers so far, but is hoping to push the price up for the Trotters Independent Traders vehicle – however, he says the buyer would still be getting a cushty bargain worthy of Peckham market.

The 63-year-old has owned the van since Christmas 2012 when he bought it because he thought it would be interesting to own.

However, he said the novelty of being associated with the famous BBC Only Fools And Horses series, and the antics of Del Boy, Rodney, Grandad and Uncle Albert, was starting to wear a bit thin.

“It attracts loads of attention, people are always waving at you and beeping. It’s most disconcerting when you’re driving along minding your own business and people honk their horns.

People are always giving you a thumbs up,” the retired fork-lift truck repairer said.

But he said Del Boy’s transport of choice was certainly a hit with women.

“You pull into a petrol station and the girls want to drape themselves across it,” he added.

Mr Bostock hopes people will know it makes sense and bid on the Reliant – one of three he owns – which comes complete with Del Boy, Rodney and Uncle Albert masks.

“Buy it now before it goes on eBay,” he said.

The original van used in the smash-hit comedy series was on sale in January 2013 with a price tag of £17,500. Mr Bostock is asking for a far more reasonable £950, or near offer, which includes tax until the end of April and an MOT until November.
