Two businessmen have presented an £820 cheque to Manorlands. The cash – handed over by Simon Harrison of A1 Stairlifts and Kevin McGrann, of Powerhouse Media (pictured) – was raised through two events.
A black-tie ball, organised by Simon and Vicki Harrison, was held at Cougar Park in Keighley in November. Entertainment was provided by Portuguese singer Bruno Mariano, who had been specially flown in for the evening. Mr McGrann was master of ceremonies and helped with a raffle and auction. Part of the proceeds went to Manorlands and the remainder to the Reverse Rett charity. The second event was the Powerhouse Christmas party, at the Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton, attended by over 200 people. It included an auction.
And funds were later boosted through the raffling of a cake baked by Powerhouse Media’s Jayne Helliwell, which raised £51.
