West Yorkshire-based international recruitment consultancy Transline Group enjoyed its best-ever trading in 2013, with revenue growing by more than 50 per cent. It is also on track to maintain growth this year.

The recruitment and training specialist increased turnover by 52 per cent as its UK sales climbed to £107.9 million compared with 2012. Revenues were nearly double the 2011 figure of £54.3 million and mark the most successful 12 months in the company’s 20-year history.

Brighouse-based Transline secured major new contracts with some of the world’s leading internet retailers and developed its offering to areas such as home delivery.

Its area of specialism include providing temporary and permanent HGV drivers, and the company said it currently had 100 vacancies in Yorkshire.

While Transline has expanded globally into countries such as Poland, Canada and Thailand, its growth is based on its UK sales alone and international revenue is not included.

Joint managing director Paul Beasley (pictured) said: “Innovating and tailoring our services to meet our clients’ needs has also been a big factor in our success. The growth is absolute testament to the unwavering hard work and dedication of the entire team.

“We’ve had a staggeringly positive first quarter this year so it looks like we will maintain our growth record and hit the £175 million mark this year.

“We have lots of contracts coming through, with plenty of vacancies. In Yorkshire alone, we have 100 driver vacancies right now, which are ideal for people looking to be part of a successful operation with high-profile clients. This is also a real boost to the region’s jobs market.”

Joint managing director Jon Taylor added: “We have been working hard to expand our operations over the past few years and it has really begun to pay off, with our increasing presence across the UK, Europe, Canada and even Thailand. Now we’re looking to sustain this growth as the economy shows real signs of improvement.”

The group, which has 80 locations across the UK, operates across a range of industry sectors and can provide staffing solutions to meet individual business needs.

Its training division provides services for both Transline and clients in areas such as HGV and forklift truck driving, vocational, language, manual handling and health and safety courses for industrial staff. The industrial division covers the food and beverage, consumer goods, e-commerce and electronics markets.

Its technical division supplies more than 1,000 qualified technicians a day and is the group’s fastest-growing business. The driving operation provides around 1,500 HGV drivers a day to companies across the UK.
