Bradford’s award-winning City Park has been shortlisted for another gong.
The attraction is one of five contenders in the excellence in planning and design for the public realm category of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Awards for Planning Excellence.
Built at a cost of about £24 million, City Park has already won a series of honours since it was opened in 2012.
The mirror pool, which has more than 100 fountains, is the biggest water feature of any UK city centre.
Sir Terry Farrell, one the world’s leading architect planners is chairing a panel of 24 expert judges for the RTPI awards with the winners announced at a ceremony to be held at The Shaw Theatre in the Pullman London St Pancras on June 23 this year.
City Park has already won a number of design awards.
