Pupils at a Bradford secondary school have been asked to help name a new housing estate being built on farmland in their village.
Housebuilder Bellway has assigned the task of naming its new 124-home development at Harrowins Farm, Brighouse Road, Queensbury, to pupils at Queensbury School.
With building already under way they have been busy learning about the local history of the area for inspiration. The pupil whose suggestion is used will be invited to cut the ribbon at the site when it is opened this summer.
Ross Clarkson, regional sales manager for Bellway Yorkshire, said: βThe local community is at the heart of every development we build so we felt there was no better way to name our new site than to approach people from the area and get them involved β and who better to work with than local children?β
