A series of 20mph zones and traffic calming measures have been proposed for Pudsey.
Councillors Mick Coulson, Richard Lewis and Josie Jarosz (Labour, Pudsey) have welcomed the news that the zones have now been put forward for public consultation, following requests to address speeding traffic in an area popular with young families.
The new zone will include residential streets close to the busy Waterloo Road and Owlcotes Road.
Additional streets coming off of Cemetery Road and Victoria Road will also be included. The 20mph zone will cover all streets around Pudsey Waterloo Primary School.
Discussions are also underway to extend the zone North to the A647 Ring Road.
