An annual dog show which attracts entrants from across the country is being held in Keighley next week.

Keighley and District Canine Association is staging the event at Victoria Hall on Easter Monday.

The show boasts 70 classes, for breeds and any variety, and normally features more than 200 dogs.

People from as far afield as Newcastle and Milton Keynes will be attending.

Mrs Dorothy Bailey, the association’s secretary and treasurer, said: “The show has been going for many years and it is a popular event. We have a lot of regulars who come back each time. Entries are only taken prior to the day but the public is very welcome to attend – although dogs not entered in the show cannot be brought into the hall.

“It is an ideal opportunity for anyone considering buying a dog to come along, see the different breeds and speak to the experts.”
