Police today issued this e-fit of a man they want to trace in connection with a car jacking in Bradford.

A 31-year-old woman was driving a white Land Rover along Hill Top Lane in Allerton, when she noticed a car behind her flashing its headlights.

Thinking there was a fault with her vehicle, the woman pulled over and stopped.

The car behind also stopped and a man got out, dragging her out of the Land Rover before driving off in it followed by the car behind, which was believed to be a dark-coloured, new shape Vauxhall Vectra.

Both vehicles were seen driving towards Allerton.

The woman was left shocked but unhurt shaken by the incident, which occurred at about 9.20am on Saturday, April 5.

The suspect is described as a white man, who was wearing a high-visibility jacket and a baseball cap.

Detective Inspector Richard Partis, of Bradford District CID, said: “This incident took place in daylight hours, so it's very possible someone will have seen this man, or possibly the vehicles in convoy as they fled the scene.

“We would also be interested to hear from anyone who saw the man or the car in the time leading up to the offence, or anyone acting suspiciously in or close to a dark coloured Vauxhall Vectra at around 9am on that day.”

Anyone with information should call Detective Constable Dean Patterson at Bradford District CID on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
