A special ceremony has been held to present Bradford’s Diabetes Champions with “thank you” certificates.
The newly appointed champions are part of the Bradford Beating Diabetes campaign, started last year by NHS Bradford City Clinical Commissioning Group.
The group, from all walks of life and of all ages, are a vital part of the campaign to help prevent people developing the condition.
Part of their role is to run lifestyle-change programmes, supporting those at high risk of developing it.
Their training is now complete and their hard work and dedication was recognised at the ceremony at the Carlisle Business Centre.
Dr Adeel Iqbal said: “They are the faces of the campaign and are doing a sterling job supporting those at risk of developing diabetes in the future.”
