Keighley councillors will decide tomorrow which roads should benefit from £400,000 worth of repairs.
Keighley Area Committee, which meets at 6pm tomorrow in Keighley Town Hall, has been given the money from Bradford Council’s £2.8 million fund for maintenance and surface dressing on the district’s non-classified road network.
Council highways officers have recommended the roads most in need of repair, including some damaged by last winter’s weather.
The priority list for highways maintenance includes Scott Street, Keighley, from Russell Street to Spencer Street; the full length of Parkwood Street, Keighley; the whole of Brow Road, Haworth, and Hainworth Wood Road, near the Hainworth Lane junction.
Almost 40 roads are recommended for surface dressing, in areas including Haworth, Oakworth, Oxenhope, Ingrow, Highfield, East Morton, Silsden, Steeton and Eastburn.
