People with concerns about mental-health services in the area are being urged to attend a meeting in Skipton on Friday.
North Yorkshire County Council’s scrutiny of health committee will meet at the Rendezvous Hotel to discuss healthcare developments in the Craven area.
“We will be examining a range of issues and looking at local priorities, both now and in the longer term,” said committee chairman Coun Jim Clark.
“In particular we will be looking at developments in mental-health services for adults and older people which were first proposed two years ago by the Bradford District Care Trust.
“There is now some concern being raised locally as to how the proposals will work in practice.”
He added “I urge members of the public to attend the meeting as they will be able to comment on the issues being discussed and make their opinions known.”
The meeting will start at 10am.
