Three Bradford relatives are taking their fundraising to great heights.
Siblings Laura and Dean Edmonds and their cousin Stephanie Parish are once again taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge for a cause close to their own hearts.
Having completed three of the highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales, Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside, last year for Heart Research UK following the death of their grandfather Ralph Parish last March, the trio will boost funds for the charity once again by embarking on the same challenge on June 21 in memory of Laura and Dean’s stepfather, James Ashcroft, who died while on holiday with their mum Catherine in January.
Laura, who works for the NHS in the children’s palliative care team and is also a children’s author, says: “We were all so deeply saddened by the deaths of my Grandad and our stepdad James, so we are going to take on the Three Peaks challenge to raise awareness of the important work Heart UK is doing.”
