A Bradford charity received national recognition at an awards ceremony.
QED, based on Vicar Lane, delivers services in health, education and employment, while advocating the wider issues affecting Muslims in society.
The group won the coveted Uthman Dan Fodio Award for Excellence in Community Development in the Muslim News Awards for Excellence.
Founder and chief executive officer of QED, Dr Mohammed Ali OBE, said: “It was a great honour to receive this sought-after award and recognition for the important work we have done at grass-roots level.
"While we should celebrate the successes of British Muslims to inspire others, we should not underestimate the challenges still ahead.”
The guest of honour Prime Minister David Cameron, said: “I’m delighted to champion the huge contribution British Muslims make to our country.”
