Famous faces of Bradford football will be at a special fundraising night in aid of BRI’s Burns Unit on Saturday night.

The Bold Privateer in Wrose is hosting auctions of soccer memorabilia including signed City shirts and footballs to raise cash for the unit which was created after the tragic fire of 1985.

Former city stars Barry Gallagher, Bobby Campbell, Gary Watson and John Hendry will be some of those at the Wrose Road pub.

Entertainment by compere and singer Gary Stokes will go on until 1am.

Landlady Angi Briscoe said: “We’re holding the night to raise money for the unit as it’s the favourite charity of one of our regulars, Mick Bland, who was at the fire and commended for bravery, as was another regular David Hustler. And we’ll be tipping folk upside down to get the brass out of their pockets if we have to!”
