Local Grand National hero Auroras Encore is highlighted in a ‘Where Are They Now?’ tribute to former winners of the race.
Great British Racing, which represents the horseracing industry, is marking the first £1 million Grand National, to be run at Aintree on Saturday, by recording what has happened to the last ten winners since their victories.
Auroras Encore, who was trained by Sue Smith on Bingley Moor, won at 66-1 last year, ridden by Ryan Mania.
Trainer and jockey are trying to repeat the success at the weekend with Mr Moonshine.
Auroras Encore had to be retired in January after breaking a leg while racing at Doncaster. But he is enjoying life to the full after making an excellent recovery from surgery.
