A mass abseil will raise money to send a young volunteer to work in Sierra Leone.
Daisy Wilde, 23, of Queensbury, Bradford, will do the fundraising abseil at the Cow and Calf Rocks, in Ilkley, on April 13, along with 19 friends.
She will be heading to Bo in Sierra Leone on May 18, for a three-month period volunteering as part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty.
She will be working for the charity VSO on a project which encourages community development and works towards the Millennium Development Goals.
This is a competitive programme that is entirely funded by the Department for International Development (DfiD).
Although her participation is funded, she needs to raise £800 for VSO.
