A project that brings history to life for children is proving a massive success in the Bradford district.
Since the My Place scheme was started, educational heritage sessions have been staged for more than 1,000 youngsters in Bradford and Keighley.
Highlights of the scheme have included an archaeological dig in the grounds of Keighley's Cliffe Castle Museum last summer.
Now organisers of the venture are seeking more volunteers to get involved.
Councillor Val Slater, chairman of West Yorkshire’s archives, archaeology and trading standards committee, said: “This project is a wonderful initiative to encourage young people and local residents to engage with their heritage and communities.”
