Police are warning Bradford residents to keep their cars locked after a rise in thefts.
Areas including Idle, Thackley, Eccleshill, Shipley and Saltaire saw an increase in thefts between January and the end of February.
Police are now calling on residents to do their bit and make sure that their vehicles are kept locked.
Detective Inspector Alan Flynn said: “Experience suggests opportunist thieves will simply move along if they find a secured car, so taking a few seconds to make sure your vehicle is safe really will reduce your chances of being a victim of crime.
“Don’t leave any property in your vehicle on display.
“You could also leave your glovebox open to show there is nothing inside. And, if you use a satellite navigation system, make sure you wipe the sucker marks from the window”
Anyone who sees any suspicious behaviour around vehicles should call 101.
