A 19-year-old former Brighouse man was given eight months of youth custody after admitting robbing his 11-year-old stepsister of £10.

Bradley Stevens, formerly of Garden Road, Waring Green, Brighouse, robbed the girl in Piggott Street, Halifax, by grabbing her and pulling her fingers back to get the money.

Stevens made a full and frank admission to the offence. He was given a further two months custody for breaching a community order.
