A horse riding club for disabled children is hosting a quiz night to raise funds in its battle against plans to build 600 houses on its site.
Throstle Nest Riding for the Disabled Group is holding the event – which is open to the public – at The Brewery Tap in Idle on Wednesday, April 2, from 7.30 pm.
Entry costs £5 per person, which includes light refreshments and a raffle ticket, with all proceeds going to the charity based at Throstle Nest Farm, Fagley Lane, Bradford. Organisers want teams of four to take part.
Sarah Hamilton, the group’s fundraiser, said: “Our work goes on and we need to keep raising funds to pay for the children’s lessons even with this terrible cloud hanging over us.
“We hope the quiz night will be the first of many and will be an enjoyable social evening, as well as raising funds for our charity.”
