A man has been arrested by police hunting a driver who fled the scene of a car crash leaving two seriously injured children in the wreckage.

Police confirmed today that 39-year-old Umba Ali was found in Frizinghall at 5pm yesterday.

Four people, including Mr Ali’s two-year-old and four-year-old children, were injured in the accident which involved a Vauxhall Zafira and an Alfa Romeo in Queen’s Road, Manningham, at the junction with Valley Road, at 9.30pm on Saturday.
