Destiny the cat has finally found a new home.
Months after being found soaking wet and lying in the gutter in Thornbury by a kind samaritan who took her to Bradford and District’s RSPCA, Destiny is now settling in with her new family in Leeds.
Owner Suzanne Whitaker said as soon as her children, Hannah, nine, seven-year-old James and 16-month-old Joseph saw Destiny they fell in love with her.
“She came out to meet them and they said ‘she has lost a leg – we have to take her home’.
The extent of Destiny’s injuries, believed to have been caused by her being struck by a vehicle, meant Destiny had to lose one of her front legs.
