Bradford’s singing sensation Georgia Harrup has been knocked out of BBC show The Voice.
The 27-year-old was one of four acts who lost out in a public vote at the quarter-final stage in what was the first live show of the series on Saturday night.
Georgia, who grew up in Bradford and works as a customer care adviser for Provident Financial in the city, said: “I’ve come further than I ever imagined.”
She revealed last week that she had not heard from her chart-topping relative Adele in the wake of her success in the show.
She found out she was related to Adele five years ago as her father Albie, a guitarist for rock band Information who has released Christian albums as a solo performer, is the brother of Adele’s grandmother. The two singers have met only once at a family gathering when they were children.
Georgia, who was part of Welsh singer Sir Tom Jones’ team on The Voice, began singing when she was four.
