Blind and partially-sighted parents will be able to share stories with their children, thanks to three local libraries.

Bradford Council’s library service has introduced a new collection of large print and braille children’s picture books at Keighley, Shipley and Manningham libraries.

The 30 titles will be available for adults or children to borrow free, for up to three weeks. Schools or groups wanting to introduce children to braille or large print books will be able to borrow up to 25 books for 12 weeks at a time.

An event to launch the service begins at 1.30pm on Tuesday at Shipley Library.
