A Bradford author is visiting the city’s new library today to meet readers and copies of her book.
Suraiya Khan, 42, is author of Someone To Watch Over Me, a book told through the eyes of a teenager called Matilda Smart. She is now writing a sequel.
The novelist will be at Bradford’s City Library in City Park at 2pm today.
She said: “Over the last 15 years, I have studied very hard, worked on writing, worked on being a mum and have always challenged myself. I haven’t done it just for myself, but for my children too.” Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, Bradford Council’s executive member for culture, said: “This is one of many good events in the new library. It’s great to be able to profile Bradford-born talent in this way.”
