Youngsters from a Bradford school met some furry friends this week when they toured the RSPCA centre.
Pupils from Peel Park Primary made an educational visit, supported by the Otley Road and Barkerend Environment Project, to the Mount Street branch, where they were given a talk about domestic animals, such as dogs and guinea pigs, and taken around the wildlife centre.
Terry Singh, Bradford and District RSPCA branch manager, says the trip formed part of the plan to develop their educational centre meeting room and also to educate and inform pet owners of the future to ensure they understand the importance and responsibility that comes with pet ownership.
“If we can get the message out to the younger generation hopefully, over time, the behaviour of people owning pets will improve,” says Terry.
